Organic Argan Oil contains significant amounts of Vitamin E, Omega-6 Essential Fatty Acids and Anti-oxidants which fight free radicals, one of the causes of skin damage and premature ageing. It has been used for generations in Morocco as a skin, hair and nail treatment. Face Oil: It can be used as a face oil due to its powerful anti-ageing and regenerating properties, fighting wrinkles and lines and giving tighter and brighter skin. It can also be effective against skin conditions like acne, eczema and psoriasis. Apply a few drops to the palm of your hand, rub your hands together to warm the oil, and then apply to the face, allowing it to absorb fully. It can be used on its' own or underneath your normal moisturiser. Hair Oil: Argan Oil provides rich nourishment to hair as well and can be used as a conditioner and hair mask. Apply a few drops after washing to nourish dry hair or use it as a weekly hair mask by applying to the hair and leaving for 30 minutes prior to washing your hair as normal. Nail Oil: Argan Oil is also very good at strengthening nails and protecting cuticles. Apply a couple of drops and massage into your nails and cuticles once or twice a week. Single source Argan Oil Argan trees are native to south western Morocco, and this thorny tree grows upto 8 to 10 metres high, and can live for 150 to 200 years. It produces green fruits, which contain the extremely hard Argan nut, and inside are two to three kernels. These have been highly prized for the oil they contain, which has been used as a cooking oil, and for it's skin and hair benefits, for generations. Our supplier selects only the finest quality fruit to produce our Argan Oil. It is produced in Morocco by hand, using traditional methods. This is very time consuming, and it can take up to 20 hours to produce one litre of oil. Our oil is not blended, where oil from different sources is mixed together. Instead it is single-source oil - our supplier can actually trace the oil back to the tree that the fruit originally grew on. This gives full traceability and ensures our oil is of the highest quality and not contaminated by poor quality Argan Oil. Read more Pure, cold pressed, unrefined, undeodorised oil Some Argan oils are refined and/or deodorised. Refining is carried out to remove impurities from the oil, and deodorising removes the smell, as poor quality Argan oil has a rather unpleasant smell. However refining and deodorising also removes some of the beneficial compounds from the oil, making them less effective. Our Argan oil is not refined, deodorised or chemically processed in any way, as the quality of our raw oil means that it does not need to be chemically treated. This means that no beneficial compounds have been removed, making our Argan oil very pure and effective. It has a light yellow colour and a feint nutty aroma. Our Argan Oil is single source Argan Oil, which means that it is not blended with oil from different locations. It is not refined, deodorised or otherwise chemically treated in any way. Cheaper Argan Oils are often refined and deodorised, which removes aroma and other beneficial compounds from the oil resulting in a less effective oil.
